Redmi’s recently unveiled Redmi Note 11T Pro for the Chinese market had its first sale earlier today, and it was a very successful one. Redmi general manager Lu Weibing reports that the brand managed to sell over 270,000 units in just one hour.

While he doesn’t go into specifics, we assume that means both the Note 11T Pro and the Note 11T Pro+ taken together. Still, it’s a very impressive achievement, and it looks like the Chinese really like these phones. Hopefully that means they will be launched in other markets too in the future, although at this point it’s anyone’s guess if that ends up happening, and if it does, precisely under what names they’ll show up outside of China.

Xiaomi and Redmi really like to play with convoluted names, and they also very much enjoy rebranding devices for different regions, so all bets are off.

Anyway, if you’re wondering what made the Note 11T Pro duo so successful in China, let’s recap their specs quickly. The Redmi Note 11T Pro has a 6.6-inch FHD+ 144 Hz LCD touchscreen, the Dimensity 8100 chipset at the helm, 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a triple rear camera setup (64 MP main, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 16 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,080 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

The Pro+ has an additional version with 512GB of storage, and a smaller battery (4,400 mAh) that charges much faster at 120W. Otherwise, it’s completely identical.
